Croquet New Zealand (CNZ) is the National Sports Organisation (NSO) charged with the development and promotion of croquet in New Zealand. With 19 Associations, 112 Clubs and over 4,700 members nationwide, croquet is a sport on the rise.
CNZ is currently preparing for some exciting changes that will set the platform to propel that growth. In October 2020, a new Constitution was approved at the AGM allowing independent board members for the first time in the organisation’s history. CNZ is also in the process of developing its 2021-2026 Strategic Plan.
About the Role
CNZ is seeking two (2) experienced board members to join the CNZ Board as our first independently appointed governors. The successful applicants will play an instrumental role in the continued growth and development of croquet in New Zealand, becoming part of our history in the process.
CNZ is looking for the following attributes;
- General play, active recreation and sport sector knowledge and experience.
- Chairperson skills & experience.
- Legal / health and safety / and risk expertise.
- Communication / Public Relations expertise.
Term
The successful candidates will be appointed for a term of two (2)-years and can be re-appointed for a maximum of three (3) consecutive terms.
The CNZ Board meet virtually each month. Generally, there will be two face to face meetings each year including the AGM.
Remuneration
This role is on a voluntary basis.
